Protection Against Negative Male Energy

I have read the section of the Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries on Spellcasting and done many of the spells in there over the years.  I chose to do a spell, that I had  a great need for, at this moment in my life.

I chose the Protection of Person, House and Car spell from Patriarchal Oppression… the reason I chose this spell is that I had a need to release myself from negative male energy that was around me.  Don’t get me wrong, I do not want to rid myself of men (I have 3 boys)… just the negative energy I am experiencing.

I planned ahead to do this spell and I did it when the moon was waning on Friday.

I went to the local store and procured items needed for this spell  that I did not already have, which were the lemon verbena and fresh basil. I already had frankincense and myrrh incense, and the egg.

Below is my account of working this most powerful spellcasting that Z had shared with us:

I cleaned the whole cottage,washed and changed the bedding, and also washed the windows and the floor ( I have all redwood plank flooring, no carpet).

I prepared my dish of water in which I had steeped the lemon verbena. I had new white candles on my altar and another candle prepared for later in the evening when I went to bed.

After I had cleaned I stood next to my altar, lit the incense and my 2 white altar candles. I grounded and centered myself and meditated on the Goddess for a bit.  Then, I took my egg and and my sharpie, and wrote my name on the egg three times.

As directed in the spell from the Holy Book page 47 – I passed the egg through the incense while reciting the words Z shared with us.  As I said them I must say I felt very powerful and when it came to the last two sentences,  as I spoke them aloud it was with the power and the truth of the Goddess!  I meant what I said, I believed it would come to pass and my intent was very strong. I DO NOT want any negative male energy anywhere near me, or my home!  I placed the egg on my altar and took the incense to my door.

I have one doorway to my cottage from which the wind blows and that is the front door facing the ocean. I opened it and felt the power of the tides and the Goddess, and placed the incense in my open doorway in the threshold.

On my stove was my Grandmother’s large cast iron pot,  which I use as my large cauldron when needed.  I had the hot water in which I had steeped the basil and I proceeded to mop my floors with this water – all the while feeling empowered and blessed and thinking of only happiness, joy and good fortune to cross my threshold.  It felt very cleansing! I actually felt peace as the incense wafted through, the smell of the basil and the ocean in front of me!

After I had finished the floor, I took the bowl in which I had prepared the water and verbana, and walked through the cottage sprinkling it in every corner  saying a  blessing at each.  Although my cottage is small, this took some time as I wanted to be sure I did every single corner.

I placed the bowl back on my altar and took the incense from my threshold and walked around my cottage outside three times and I drew pentagrams of protection on all windows and doors.  As my car is parked right in front of the cottage,  I also did my car inside and out.

I brought the incense back in and placed it on my altar. I then took the egg and I buried it under a large rosemary plant that is right next to my front door to the left.  Anyone coming to my door must pass this magickal plant of protection!  I came inside, closed my door and allowed the space to be filled with the fresh smells of the basil, verbana and the incense still burning on the altar.

I left the incense and candles to burn down. That evening I cleaned up my altar (I poured the used basil and verbana water outside into the earth, and thanked the Goddess for their use this day) and before bed, took a white candle in a glass container (for safety) and lit it and placed it on my altar. I did a Self Blessing (found on page 120 in the Holy Book)  in front of my altar. I went to bed and left the candle to burn.

In the morning, I buried all three candles used in this spell outside.

We shall see as the days continue how this protection spell has served me in regard to this situation!  If anything, I feel more protected and my home feels very peaceful. And while doing this spell I felt great empowerment, determination and peacefulness. It was a long spell to do, but it was a cleansing that brought me to a place that made me feel not only my home was cleansed from the inside out, but my being as well!
